Abstract

The implementation of principal supervision is a meaning where the Principal is able to improve teacher performance in Islamic Religious Education learning at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Darul Ulum. Although teacher performance is considered good, it is not yet fully maximized, therefore a more in-depth study is needed regarding the implementation of supervision and improving teacher performance, so it is deemed necessary to conduct research to analyze the implementation of teaching supervision on improving the performance of Islamic Religious Education teachers. With a qualitative method, the study produced several conclusions, namely that the planning of principal supervision is carried out in a planned, systematic and continuous manner. At this stage, the principal carries out the stage of determining performance and implementing effective learning activities by forming, determining the time of implementation, compiling observation grids and determining whether class observations are known to teachers or not, this is based on an agreement between the principal and the Islamic religious education teacher.
