Kurikulum Pendidikan IMPLEMENTASI KURIKULUM MERDEKA: STUDI KASUS DI MTS DARUL ULUM KUBU RAYA

This research examines the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum at Darul Ulum Middle School, Kubu Raya, as an effort to understand the opportunities, challenges and strategies faced in implementing this new policy. Through a case study approach, data is collected through observation, interviews with school principals and teachers, as well as documentation related to curriculum implementation. The research results show that the Merdeka Curriculum provides wider space for students to develop creativity and critical thinking skills through project-based and contextual learning approaches. However, this implementation is also faced with challenges, such as gaps in teacher understanding, limited facilities, and adaptation to new learning methods. School principals play an important role in overcoming this challenge by holding regular evaluations, training and discussions with teachers to align curriculum understanding and practice. The conclusions of this research provide insight for policy makers and educational practitioners to optimize the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum in the future.
